Definition: block height
The sequential number of a block of transactions in a blockchain. Block height 0 is the "genesis block," which is the first block. See blockchain and crypto glossary.
Bitcoin Block Height
All block explorers list the block numbers that have been mined as in this early 2022 example from Bitcoin Explorer. A block height around 725,000 represents more than 700 million Bitcoin transactions added to the blockchain since 2009. See Bitcoin block explorer.
