Definition: angstrom

A unit of measurement that is approximately 1/250 millionth of an inch. The wavelengths of light are measured in angstroms, and the branding of new chip technologies began using angstroms after one nanometer. See Intel 20A, angstrom era and chip feature size.

   Scale Angstroms

Angstrom Precision
In 2025, chip angstrom measurements were more branding than actual feature sizes. However, with various chip-making processes, we have reached the angstrom era in precision. It is expected that chip specifications will indeed be measured in angstroms in the coming years. This banner is from the chip expo in Phoenix, Arizona in 2025 (see SEMICON). See chip feature size.
