Definition: Win 9x interface

The user interface first implemented in Windows 95 and 98 and in subsequent versions prior to Windows 8. The Windows 9x interface replaced the Program Manager in Windows 3.1 and added the Start menu, Taskbar and Explorer functions. See Win abc's.
