While both are wireless technologies and Wi-Fi and Class 2 Bluetooth have a similar range of about 300 feet, most Bluetooth devices are Class 3, which spans about 30 feet. Wi-Fi also supports many mobile devices per hotspot (Wi-Fi region), whereas Bluetooth is primarily a one-to-one connection.
