Definition: website copying


Duplicating the pages of an existing website, including all the source code. The HTML pages that make up any website can be easily copied and used intact or modified. Web browsers have a "Save Webpage Complete" function that does the copying. In addition, Web browsers also provide a menu function that lets users view the underlying HTML and JavaScript without having to save it. See phishing, HTML and JavaScript.
