Definition: WebFOCUS


A family of information retrieval tools from Information Builders. The foundation is the WebFOCUS query and reporting engine which lets users have Web browser access to more than 80 different database and file types. Introduced in 1997, WebFOCUS is an extension to Information Builder's EDA middleware product with support for the Web. The WebFOCUS Suite provides optional enhancements for report scheduling and distribution and for viewing multidimensional data (OLAP viewing). See FOCUS Desktop and EDA.
