Definition: VUI


(Voice User Interface) A voice-controlled application on a computer or mobile device. A VUI is more sophisticated than an interactive voice response (IVR) system. It implies a wide range of commands rather than just voicing "yes" or "no." Contrast with GUI. See voice recognition and IVR.




Ahead of Its Time
