Definition: VISP

(Virtual ISP) A VISP is an Internet service provider (ISP) that resells under its own name the services of another ISP (the "wholesale ISP"). A VISP is much like an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator), which sells cellular services under its name but uses the transmission facilities of a carrier such as AT&T or Verizon. See ISP and MVNO.
