A Turkish crypto exchange founded in 2017 by Faruk Fatih Ozer. By 2020, Thodex was the second largest exchange in Turkey, which was one of the top five countries worldwide embracing crypto. In 2021, after Turkey's Central Bank announced a ban on crypto for purchases and servics, Ozer disappeared but resurfaced in Albania a year later, where he was arrested and extradited to Turkey. In court, Ozer, along with his older brother Guven and sister Serap, were all sentenced to 11,196 years in prison. See
