Definition: Surface Duo

A dual-screen Android phone-tablet from Microsoft. Introduced in 2020, the Surface Duo comprises two 5.6" screens hinged together that open to an 8.1" tablet-size display. The Duo supports Microsoft's Surface Pen and makes phone calls like any smartphone.

Multiple apps or just one app that spans both screens can be displayed. App Groups also allow two apps to pair and launch together. In addition, while viewing their image library on one screen, users can see the selected photo on the other. The Surface Duo runs Microsoft 365 and all Android apps on Google Play. See Surface tablet and Surface Pen.
