Definition: SQLBase Server


A relational DBMS for DOS, OS/2, Netware, Windows, Sun and Linux servers, first released in 1988 by Gupta Technologies, which was acquired by Unify Corporation in 2006. Created for PC networks running DOS, it went on to become a leading DBMS for OS/2 and Netware. SQLBase Server evolved into Unify's embedded database (see SQLBase). See SQLWindows.
