Definition: SEMICON
Expositions for the semiconductor industry held throughout the globe by SEMI, the global industry association that supports the nearly three trillion dollar electronics chip manufacturing and supply chain. In the U.S., SEMICON has traditionally been held in San Francisco; however.in 2025, it was held in Phoenix, Arizona. U.S. venues are expected to alternate between San Francisco and Phoenix.
SEMICON West 2025
For the first time, the SEMICON expo was held in Phoenix, Arizona, which has become the chip capital of America. With more than 500 vendors and 35,000 attendees, SEMICON West seemed like a manufacturers convention for every industry on the planet. This is primarily because the machines that make the chips use thousands of different parts, and most every discipline on the globe is involved in some manner in the semiconductor industry.
