Definition: SCCM


(System Center Configuration Manager) Systems management software from Microsoft that was introduced in 2007. Superseding Systems Management Server (SMS) for Windows NT Server, SCCM is used to deploy operating systems, distribute and update software, maintain equipment inventories and configure users' PCs. SCCM can also eliminate manual tasks by automating existing Windows administration functions.
