Malware that eavesdrops on users through the computer's camera and microphone. BugDrop targeted electricity, oil and gas companies as well as human rights organizations mostly in the Ukraine, but also in Russia, Austria and Saudi Arabia. Named Operation BugDrop in 2017 by security firm CyberX, which detected the attacks, BugDrop infects machines via phishing and bogus macros in attached Microsoft Office documents. See
