The latest version of the Office suite from Microsoft. Introduced in 2018, Office 2019 requires Windows 10, Windows Server 2019, macOS Sierra or later versions of these operating systems. Office 2019 does not run on Windows 7 or 8.
Retaining the same UI as Office 2016, new features were introduced for Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as improved stylus operation for touchscreens. In Office 2016, both the desktop and Universal Windows Platform (see UWP
) versions of OneNote were included. In Office 2019, only the Universal version is included.
Last Stand-Alone Office
The splash screens of Office 2019 apps were changed to display "Office 365" below the program's name, because Office 2019 is the last Office version that can be purchased without a subscription for upgrades. See Microsoft 365
