An earlier name for Netscape's home page and Web portal. There were so many visitors to Netscape's home page that it was turned into a full-service Web portal, providing Web search, news, white and yellow pages, classified ads, free email and a variety of features. The netcenter.com address was maintained and pointed to home.netscape.com.
