Major features of Nehalem chips (named after Nehalem, Oregon) are integrated memory and PCI Express controllers and a graphics processing unit (GPU) in the same chip package as the CPU. Nehalem began at 45 nm with subsequent dies manufactured with 32 nm features. Nehalem was superseded in 2011 by Sandy Bridge. See Intel microarchitectures.
