Definition: MVDisc


(Multimedia VideoDISC) A rewritable DVD format from NEC Technologies, Inc. (NECT) that was developed in the late 1990s. Holding 5.2GB per side, it was originally known as Multimedia Video File (MMVF). Similar in technology but not compatible with DVD-RAM, MVDisc never materialized as a commercial product. See DVD.
