(Security Enhanced LINUX) A secure version of Linux originally specified by the National Security Agency (NSA) and which became standard since Version 2.6 of the Linux kernel in 2003. SELinux employs Linux Security Modules (LSM), which enables Linux to support mandatory access controls. See mandatory access control and Linux.
