Founded in 1997 by Yevgeny Kaspersky, the software is very popular worldwide. However, because the company was alleged to include spyware in its products, in 2017, Kaspersky software was banned for use by U.S. government agencies. After the war in Ukraine began, the U.S. government warned American businesses that Kaspersky software may cause harm.
