An AI-based targeting system developed by the signals intelligence branch of Israel's military. Gospel has been used in the country's retaliation against Hamas in Gaza.
Considered more efficient than human analysis, Gospel makes recommendations about targets, which can be rocket launchers, command posts or individual soldiers. For example, whereas a single member of the military may be able to generate one target per month, Gospel can come up with more than a hundred targets in little more than a week.
There is controversy about the system with some claiming not all targets have been only military. However, it has been widely reported that Hamas hides in civilian structures and uses Gazan citizens as shields, which greatly complicates the matter. See
