Definition: Intercast


An earlier technology from Intel for broadcasting HTML content via the vertical blanking interval (VBI) in a CRT display. Data were transmitted at a maximum of 10.5 KBytes/sec in 10 of the 45 lines of the VBI. Requirements for the consumer were an Intercast TV tuner board for a PC or a set-top box for a TV. See CRT.
