Definition: AI Pin

A now-defunct virtual assistant in the form of a wearable projector from Humane, Inc. Released in 2024 and created by former Apple employees, the Android-based AI Pin used the Cosmos operating system to project answers from verbal questions. It could also be used to display caller ID, email and texts.

The Pin's operation was a disappointment for many users, and after sales of roughly 10 thousand units, the company shut down its servers in February 2025.

HP Acquired the Remains
Also in that month, the AI-powered Cosmos OS along with Humane's patents and technical staff were acquired by HP to form an AI innovation lab called HP IQ.

Projector and Projected
