Definition: HDtracks

An online music store for digital albums from HDtracks, New York. Debuting in 2008, HDtracks is a non-streaming, download-only service founded and operated by musicians and audiophiles. Only high-resolution audio formats are supported. In most cases, the entire album must be purchased, although individual tracks are sometimes offered.

Users can optionally download the HDtracks Download Manager for Windows or Mac to keep their titles organized. In the event of a future corrupted music file, HDtracks support can communicate directly with the application. See high-resolution audio.

Hi-Res Formats
HDtracks supports the AIFF, ALAC, FLAC and WAV high-resolution audio formats in sampling rates up to 192/24.
