Definition: Google I/O

(Google Input/Output, Google Innovation in the Open) Google's annual conference for developers, which is held in May or June. Originally in San Francisco's Moscone Center from 2008 to 2015, the venue was changed to the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California. Google I/O was canceled in 2020, online in 2021 and back to Mountain View in 2022.

The major topics at the 2025 event were Android and Pixel devices, Chrome and Google Web products, Google's cloud services, and AI, of course. A new AI Mode in Google Search was announced, which provides follow-up questions (see Google AI Mode). See Android, Pixel phone and technology trade shows.
