A social networking component added to Google's Gmail service in 2010. It lets people place photos, videos and comments into their Gmail conversations and also lets them share their information publicly or to selected groups. iPhone and Android versions geotag messages with their current location and also let Google Maps users know who is in the vicinity. In late 2011, Buzz was discontinued in favor of Google+. See
