A chatbot from Google that uses Google's Gemini AI models. Originally named Bard and introduced in 2023, Gemini chatbot was designed to compete with ChatGPT and answer a huge variety of questions. The introduction of ChatGPT in 2022 was so earth shattering that Google ex-CEOs Sergey Brin and Larry Page were brought back to decide Google's response. See
Deep Think.
The Models: Ultra, Pro, Flash and Nano
Gemini Ultra is the largest language model. Gemini Pro is a generalized model for handling a wide range of tasks. The lightweight Gemini Flash was designed for speed, and Gemini Nano was created for processing within the device itself. See
Gemini Nano.
What Is a Happy Computer?
To test Gemini chatbot's response to a far-fetched question, following is the answer to the prompt "what is a happy computer?" Compared to the same prompt given to ChatGPT, Gemini's response was a bit more accurate by stating that people "might" use the term playfully. See
