Definition: Genesis Mission

A national effort that combines industry, academia and the U.S. Department of Energy's 17 laboratories to unleash the full power of AI and quantum computing to ensure that America is the world leader in scientific innovation. Electrical grid modernization is also a major part of Genesis. Initiated by President Trump's Executive Order in November 2025, Dr. Dario Gil, Under Secretary for Science, is the Mission director.
