A virtual assistant feature incorporated into Facebook Messenger in 2015. Using human operators as well, M was created to find information, book travel and make reservations and suggestions. By 2018, there were only a few thousand beta users, and too much human intervention was required. Although M was subsequently discontinued, the knowledge gained migrated to other Facebook projects.
