Definition: Expressive Media Universe

An AI-based text-to-image generator from Meta. Introduced in 2023, Expressive Media Universe (Emu) generates very high-quality images. Based on the Latent Diffusion Model (LDM), which was trained on more than a billion text-image pairs, Emu was fine-tuned with several thousand carefully selected high-quality images. Emu is used in various Meta offerings but is not a separate product.
