Launched in 2023 and also known as "account abstraction," ERC-4337 defines a smart account as a smart contract that supports several functions, including creating recurring payments, adding two-factor authentication, nominating a person to restore wallet access, paying fees with any token, letting a third party pay the fees and batching multiple transactions into one.
