Definition: EV-DV


(EVolution-Data Voice) Part of the 3G specification for high-speed enhancements to the CDMA cellular technology. Similar in concept to WCDMA, which integrated voice and data, EV-DV was deemed too complex and later dropped. See CDMA2000.
