Definition: Delphi Forums

(Delphi Forums, North Andover, MA) A consumer-oriented website that offers self-managed forums on any subject. Similar to UseNet in that messages are posted for subsequent reading at any time, Delphi Forums require all forums to be moderated by the person who originated them or a designated administrator. In the late 1980s, Delphi was an online service, which in 1992, was the first to offer full Internet access, not just email. In 1998, it switched to the forums model.
