A premium keyboard from the Das Keyboard division of Metadot Corporation, Austin, TX. Meaning "the keyboard" in German, Das Keyboards are available for PCs and Macs. They use key switches for the tactile feel that fast typists prefer, and USB sockets on the side are included for convenience. Certain models come in both quiet, non-click and click-sound versions. See mechanical keyboard, premium keyboard, PC keyboard and keyboard.

Learn How to Touch Type
Dating back more than 70 years, people used to learn how to type on mechanical typewriters with blank keys. In 2005, Das keyboards were created as a teaching tool and are still available without key imprinting. (Image courtesy of Das Keyboard.)
