(DVD+Video Recording) The format for recording and editing video on DVD+R and DVD+RW discs. Introduced by Philips for their DVD+R/RW drives, DVD+VR discs are not finalized as are DVD movies, but they must be finalized in order to play in a standard DVD player. Contrast with DVD-VR.
