Compliant with the SMPTE VC-3 standards, DNxHD compression was designed to maintain video quality throughout the post-production process using less storage and bandwidth than uncompressed video. Using the MXF container, DNxHD supports transfer rates from 36 to 220 Mbps and 720p, 1080i and 1080p resolutions at all frame rates. See HD formats.
