Definition: COMPUTEX Taipei


A Taiwanese trade show for PC manufacturers and PC component buyers. Founded in 1980, COMPUTEX Taipei is sponsored annually by the Taipei Computer Association. With 130,000 attendees from the U.S., Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and mainland China, the 2005 show broke records and put the exhibition into the ranks of major IT industry shows such as CeBIT and COMDEX, the latter having closed two years earlier. In 2025, 86,000 people from 152 countries attended the four-day show. See technology trade shows and COMDEX.
