Definition: CLC Dev Tag Summary

PT means printer tag, but we use PT tags for format tags. In fact, nothing prints from XyWrite. To print a definition, use CDE.

Single Double Arrows
XyWrite uses single characters (ASCII 174 and 175) as tag delimiters. Double arrows (<< and >>) simulate them below:

   Yellow
  Triangle
    Tag      Purpose

  <<PT6>>    Term name.

  <<PT1>>    Body text of definition.

  <<PT2>>    Body text of 2nd and subsequent
              definitions with same term name.

  <<MDBO>>   Mode Bold

  <<MDBR>>   Mode Bold Reverse
              Used for links to other terms; for
              example: See <<MDBR>>dataset<<MDNM>>.
              MDBR shows as italics in CDE
