Definition: CE quality

(Consumer Electronics quality) The implied sound and visual quality of consumer electronics devices. From the computer industry's point of view, CE quality implies a step up. Since the late 1970s, personal computers have not provided the same audio and video quality commonly available in home stereos and TVs. However, as computers and entertainment converge, CE quality audio and video in computers has become common.

Depends on Your Point of View
From an audiophile's standpoint or someone who has a very high-end home theater system, which can cost tens of thousands of dollars, CE implies ordinary, lower-cost audio and video equipment. See consumer electronics.
