Definition: Brave browser

A privacy-focused Web browser from Brave Software, Inc. that is based on Chromium. Introduced in 2016 and available for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android, the Brave browser blocks ads and trackers, while informing the user how many were prevented. In 2018, Brave partnered with DuckDuckGo to add more privacy features, and it includes the DuckDuckGo search engine among others for results. Brave is known for its rendering speed.

The Brave Attention Token (BAT)
Brave has an unusual monetary system. It displays its own ads and disseminates tokens (BATs) to users, who give them to their favorite websites as a reward for quality content. See DuckDuckGo and Chromium.
