Definition: Bing Chat

The AI chatbot integrated into Microsoft's Bing search engine in early 2023. Bing's chatbot is based on OpenAI's GPT natural language system. Also called the "New Bing," it can be used like a virtual assistant; however, it is also capable of generating original text. In late 2023, Bing Chat was renamed Copilot. See GPT and Copilot.
