Definition: BOTWEB

(Best Of The WEB) A now defunct site that listed exemplary websites in a variety of categories. The BOTWEB seal signified that a site had been evaluated on presentation, functionality and content and was one of the best of its kind on the Web. Less than a year in operation, BOTWEB was discontinued in the summer of 2000. The parent company, Concepts Direct, re-focused on its core business of catalog direct marketing and Internet retailing for its catalog brands.
