AI capabilities added to the Alexa assistant in various Amazon Echo devices and updated Alexa apps starting in 2025. Free for Prime members or a paid subscription for others, Alexa+ understands more natural language and functions like an AI chatbot. It can book tickets at Ticketmaster and reservations at OpenTable, find suitable gifts and even locate a repairman to fix a problem. If a verbal interaction is interrupted, Alexa+ can return to the previous conversation, and it also remembers more about the user in order to provide more helpful information later on. See
