Definition: ARCore


(Augmented Reality Core) An augmented reality (AR) software development platform for Android devices from Google. Replacing Google's Tango in 2018, ARCore is used to overlay digital images onto the real world. ARCore supports lighting, real-world surface detection and 6 degrees of freedom (6DOF).
